Syllabus for Customer Service Associates (Clerical cadre)—IBPS CRP CSA 2026-2027

  1. Eligibility Criteria To apply for the CRP CSA-XV process, candidates must meet the following basic requirements:

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived before January 1, 1962.

Age (As of 01.08.2025): Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old.

Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years of age relaxation.

Educational Qualification (As of 21.08.2025): A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory.

Computer Literacy: Candidates must have operating and working knowledge of computer systems (Certificate/Diploma/Degree or studied as a subject in high school/college).

Language Proficiency: You must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the official local language of the State/UT for which you are applying.

  1. Examination Structure The recruitment follows a two-tier online examination process.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination This is an objective test to shortlist candidates for the main exam.

English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks) — 20 Minutes.

Numerical Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) — 20 Minutes.

Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) — 20 Minutes.

Total: 100 Questions (100 Marks) in 60 minutes.

Phase II: Main Examination Final merit listing is based solely on the marks obtained in this phase.

General/Financial Awareness: 40 Questions (50 Marks) — 20 Minutes.

General English: 40 Questions (40 Marks) — 35 Minutes.

Reasoning Ability: 40 Questions (60 Marks) — 35 Minutes.

Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions (50 Marks) — 30 Minutes.

Total: 155 Questions (200 Marks) in 120 minutes.

  1. Syllabus Overview While the notification specifies the “Name of Tests,” candidates should focus on the following core areas:

English: Comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary.

Numerical/Quantitative: Basic arithmetic, data interpretation, and mathematical calculations.

Reasoning: Logical reasoning, analytical ability, and problem-solving.

General/Financial Awareness: Current affairs with a specific focus on the banking and financial sectors.

Important Notes

Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main exams.

Local Language Test: After qualifying the Main exam, candidates must pass a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) unless they studied the language in 10th standard or higher.
